Dedicated to the preservation of the history of southwestern Pennsylvania, the South Park Historical Society is located in South Park Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
South Park Township, formerly Snowden Township, is located twelve miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. The township is comprised of older, smaller communities that experienced a tremendous growth with the coal mining industry. Some of these communities include Library, Bruceton, Broughton, Curry, Snowden, Knothole and Piney Fork.
